Indiana Morel Reports for 2014

Updates: 5/2/2014 – I have reports from all over northern Indiana. Yellow, Grey, and Black morels are being found. The farthest north that I have personally heard was in Michigan and in Indiana a report from Fort Wayne. They are starting to come up all over the state of Indiana. Make sure you hunt the sunny side of the hill first which is the side that get the most sun early in the day. Always keep an eye out for Ash, or Elm trees as they are good producers of morels, although I have found them around sycamore, poplar and pine trees as well. I personally have not found many in the bottoms yet, but I believe after a good warm up they may start producing there soon.
