Pleasantville – Indiana Conservation Officers were joined by officers from numerous agencies in a search for a missing hunter over the weekend. They were successful — Richard Wiseman, 74, of Dugger, was located in Sullivan County.The search was launched when a conservation officer received a phone call from a concerned hunter, who stated his hunting partner had never returned from the woods.It turned out Wiseman had become disoriented and he suffered injuries which hindered him from finding his way out of the woods.Multiple agencies and several K-9 tracking teams responded to an area in the Pleasantville area of Sullivan County to search.Wiseman was located. He had suffered a leg injury which prohibited him from walking. He was transported to the Sullivan County Community Hospital for medical treatment.Indiana Conservation Officers were assisted in the search by personnel from the following agencies: Dugger Town Marshals, Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, Sullivan County Emergency Management Agency, Sullivan County Ambulance Service, Indiana Department of Corrections, Vigo County Emergency Management Agency, Vigo County Emergency Communications Team, Vigo County Search and Rescue, and the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department.
