Conservation Officers find man almost 24-hours after tree stand accident

PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – One man is recovering from serious injuries at an Indianapolis Hospital after a tree stand accident.

Officials report Bob Wilson, 55 of Bellmore, was attempting to install a tree stand two miles south of Rockville on Wednesday morning when he fell. Indiana Conservation Officers report Wilson fell between 20 and 25 feet around 10:30 a.m.

With help of friends and family, Indiana Conservation Officers were able to find him Thursday around 8:30 a.m. When they found him, officials stated he was completely coherent and able to explain what happened.

He seriously injured his leg and the lower part of his body. Rescue workers had to lifeline him to Indianapolis due to his injuries.
