Body Located In Lake Charles Identified

Lowell – The Indiana State Police and the Lake County Coroner’s Office have positively identified the female recovered Sunday, April 6th in Lake Charles, Porter Indiana.

An autopsy was conducted, yesterday, Tuesday, April 8th, 2014, at the Lake County Coroner’s facility and fingerprint comparisons by the Indiana State Police Laboratory confirmed the identification as Teleka Patrick, 30 of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Patrick was reported missing on Friday, December 6th, 2013 when she failed to report for work in Michigan. She was last seen Thursday evening of December 5th, 2013 when she was dropped off at her car in a parking lot at a medical center in Kalamazoo.

Body of woman found in Lake Charles

Porter, Porter County-Indiana State Police responded to Lake Charles in the town of Porter early this morning when a local fisherman reported seeing something suspicious in the water.

Preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 7:10 a.m., this Sunday, April 06, 2014, morning a local fisherman called Porter Police to report something suspicious floating in the water of Lake Charles. Lake Charles is a town park located in Porter and open to the public.

Indiana State Police and members of our SCUBA team as well as members of Porter Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. A female body dressed in dark clothing was recovered from the water.  Read more
