BROWN COUNTY – Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an off road vehicle crash that injured Chris Niemeyer, 53, of Indianapolis Saturday night.
Conservation Officer Jay Noble was called to a property off Valley Branch Road in Brown County around 7:30 p.m. for report of an accident.
The investigation found that Niemeyer was operating his Polaris 800 Sportsman ORV on his property in Brown County when he lost control causing it to flip and roll on top of him, causing injury to his head and chest.
He was riding on the property with his friends, who called 911.
Brown County EMS transported Mr. Niemeyer to Van Buren School, were he was transferred to Life Line and flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mr. Niemeyer was not wearing a helmet or any other protective equipment. At his time no charges are being filed, however the case is still under investigation.
