Indiana Conservation Officers made a water rescue in the evening of April 2, 2014 in Brown County. At approximately 8:00 PM yesterday evening Melissa Shaffer 52, of New Haven, IN was travelling on Grandview Rd in Brown County. Her Ford Explorer became stalled in high water just south of Bellsville Pike. She was travelling with her 12 yo son and his 11 yo friend. The two young boys were able to climb onto the top of the vehicle through the sunroof, however Ms. Shaffer was not able to exit the vehicle.
