Cataract Lake ( Cagle Mill Lake ) Fishing Report
We headed out for some crappie fishing on Cataract Lake today and it was a good trip and we caught a lot of nice crappie, one walleye and one striper. The walleye and the striper did not have much size but does show that they can be caught there.
The crappie were biting mainly on small minnows and didn’t even touch jigs today, the bite was steady but not fast. We hooked into some really good sized crappie today as well as a bunch of small ones. They were hitting about 5 to 10 ft off the bank and between 2ft and 5 ft deep.
The water temp was between 60 and 68 degrees today and was clear. The lake level is close to summer level I believe and all ramps are open.
